  4.                      Caffeine Carol's Patch - 09/23/92

  6. This patch will fix the problem you may encounter if you arrive
  7. outside of Caffeine Carol's and click the Eye cursor on anything
  8. before getting Sonny out of his car.
  9.  
  10. To install this patch, just copy the two files (30.HEP and 30.SCR)
  11. into the directory where Police Quest has been installed and then
  12. restore to a point BEFORE you arrived outside of Caffeine Carol's.
  13.  
  14. NOTE:  It is imperative that you restore to a point BEFORE you arrived
  15. at Carol's!  If you restore directly to outside the diner, the patch
  16. files will not be read by the game and the error will return.

  19.                          PROCEDURE TO COPY THIS PATCH
  20.  
  21. 1. Insert the disk that contains the two patch files: 30.HEP and 30.SCR
  22.    into drive A: or B:.  For this example, we will use drive A:.
  23.  
  24. 2. Go into the directory on your hard drive where you have installed
  25.    Police Quest and enter the following command:
  26.  
  27.    COPY A:\30.* <Enter>
  28.  
  29. You are now ready to run the game.  Just type PQ <Enter> and you are on
  30. your way.
